If the bank receives the deposit before the holiday and its settlement date falls on the holiday, it will post before the holiday. If the bank receives the deposit after the holiday and its settlement date falls on the holiday, it will post on the next business day after the holiday.

Will bill payments or transfers be affected by holidays?

Yes. Payments or transfers involving external banks may be delayed until the next business day. Internal (same-bank) transfers typically post as normal.

What happens if I don’t make a fraud-prevention decision for Check Positive Pay or ACH Debit Block?

Exception items are not processed on federal holidays. Any items generated during a holiday will be available for pay/return decisioning on the next business day. Exception items must be reviewed every day the bank is open, including Good Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. If exception items are not reviewed by the cutoff time, they will auto-post based on the account’s default decision settings.
