Southern Bank in Doniphan Closed Due to Flooding
(April 30, 2017 – Poplar Bluff, MO) Due to severe flooding, the Southern Bank building in Doniphan has been temporarily closed. Southern Bank has implemented its disaster recovery plan to resume limited business operations as quickly as possible at a temporary location. We have identified a temporary location, which we hope to have open by end of day tomorrow, Monday, May 1, with limited services available. All neighboring Southern Bank branches, including Poplar Bluff, Van Buren, Thayer, Alton, will be available to help customers with any additional services needed. Additional information will be released as soon as it is available.
“At this point, our highest priority is being able to help our customers and the residents in and around the Doniphan community in this time of crisis. We are working as quickly as possible to have a temporary location available,” said Curtis Tucker, Community Bank President in Doniphan.
At this time, all other Southern Bank branches in towns affected by flooding have not been affected and are expected to be open for regular business hours with regular business operations.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of our local communities being affected by this devastating situation. Please check the Southern Bank website and Facebook page for additional information as it comes available.
